How to prevent your account from being deleted (Gmail accounts will be deleted)

Google has announced that it will launch a campaign to delete long-unused Gmail accounts from December.

Google announced about six months ago that it would delete inactive Gmail accounts, explaining that the deletion will affect accounts that owners have not used for at least two years.

Google said that before deleting any Gmail account, it will send notifications to the user by email or to backup accounts that the user has linked to the Google account.

It also said on its official website that these measures are for security reasons and that old and inactive accounts are likely to be targeted by people or hackers, because inactive accounts often contain old or reused passwords that can be hacked.
